I’m a Roanoke and Richmond-based accountant, with over 10 years of experience - but outside of work, my life is just as full.
I met my husband, Chris, while we were both students at Randolph-Macon College, and in January 2024, we welcomed our son, Cooper—our greatest joy.
You can usually find me exploring local Roanoke restaurants, trying out a new workout class, or soaking up the little moments at home with my family (including our dog Comet, of course).

The Story Behind
Back Porch Accounting
Back Porch Accounting was built from more than just experience—it came from a shift in perspective.
After years in corporate accounting, I saw firsthand how much clarity and structure strong financial systems can bring. But I also saw something that stuck with me: so many small business owners felt stressed, uncertain, or even discouraged when it came to their numbers and tax season.
I couldn’t shake the feeling that it didn’t have to be that way.
I started Back Porch Accounting to offer something different: a space where finances feel approachable, supportive, and clear. The name itself reflects what I want this experience to be—like sitting on a back porch, where things slow down, conversations are honest, and everything feels a little more manageable.
My mission is simple: to help business owners feel confident, supported, and at ease with their finances—so they can focus on what they love most about what they’ve built.
Because running a business comes with enough uncertainty. Your finances shouldn’t be one of them.
